Call to Order: The House of Delegates was called to order by General Chairman Jeff Gray at 1:00 PM at the Graduate Club, New Haven, CT.

Present Board Members: Jeff Gray, Mike Huffman, Henk Jansen, Ellen Johnston, Bill Krumm, Susan Lecza, Christine Pelham, Barry Silver and Judy Snow

Absent Board Members: Stuart Ainsworth, Bill Ball, Peter Boucher, Ed Doernberger, Sean Farrell, David Heller, Chris Hug, Cathy Koelle, Jason Paige, Jeff Scobee, Haley Smith and Dan Zeek.

Clubs: Rich Dufour OAK, Dori Freer, SMST, Mark Kinne GLAS, Dennis Rodney WCYM, Penny Scarth WYW, Scott Roberts, FINS, Chris Kelley, VSYM, Jeff Allen WYW, Santos Carvajal, VSYM, Karen Jubanyk-Barber HMST, Gary Cavaliere HNHS, Ann Maher HNHS, Tricia Jefferies HNHS, Dennis Flores ZEUS Robin Gibbons CAT, King Lee BEAR Bonnie Strittmatter WRAT.

Also Present: Nan Cooper.

Approval of Agenda: The agenda was amended. Elections and audit were moved to after announcements and Registration report was moved to the first report of officers. Approved.

Adoption of Minutes: A motion to approve the minutes of May 16, 2006 was made, seconded and approved.

Welcome/Announcements/Chairman’s Report: Jeff Gray thanked out-going board members: Ed Dunn, Eryn Crane, Kayleigh Boucher, Sean Farrell, Todd Stevens, Ken Block, Jeff Allen and Steve Carroll. Jeff Gray reported that CSI would be taking steps to build the volunteer base and create an active committee structure.

AUDIT REPORT

Susan Lecza, Treasurer, presented the audit report for fiscal year ending August 31, 2005. Pikaart Visconti and Associates, P.C prepared the audit. The auditor’s opinion was read and CSI is in conformance. Approved. Copies are available through the CSI office.

ELECTIONS

It was moved to appoint the following to the Nominating Committee: David Heller (NTSC and Board member), Chris Hug (CAC and Board member) and Christine Pelham (SNCO and Board member), Todd Stevens (WYW), Dennis Rodney (WCYM) and Omar Cruz (ZEUS). Approved.

REPORTS OF OFFICERS

Additional reports can be found in the Annual Report.

Registration Coordinator: Judy Snow reported that CDEV changed their name to Cheshire Y Sea Dog Swim club CDOG. Registration statistics are published in the Annual Report.

Administrative Vice-Chair: Jeff Gray reported for Chris Hug that 91 Scholar Athletes were selected.

Treasurer: Sue Lecza stated that CSI is in a strong financial position. Largest change was the technology budget.

Finance Vice-Chair: Not present.

Age Group Committee Chair: Not present.

Senior Committee Chair: Henk Jansen welcomes new committee members. Changes are anticipated for the senior championship meets and for travel reimbursement.

Program Development Division Vice-Chair: Not present.

Program Operations Vice-Chair: Barry Silver reported that educating meet hosts regarding safety issues continues. This includes first-aid kits at meets, marshals for warm-ups and evacuation plans. Officials have been well organized and involved. Clubs need to plan ahead and recruit officials from their membership. Barry thanked Chris Hug, Peter Boucher, Jeff Allen and WYW for conducting successful CSI championship meets. The short course meet calendar shows a 15% increase in the number of meets, including 19 distance meets. This schedule should comfortable accommodate our athletes competition needs.

Technical Planning Committee Chairs: Ellen Johnston reported that her committee would be selected soon.

Coaches Representative: Christine Pelham reported that Dan Zeek and Jen Lyman were recipients of the Coaches Education Grant. A coach forum is planned for this year.

Athletes Rep: Not present.

Coach-at-Large: No report.

Safety Chair: Not present.

Officials Chairman: Mike Huffman reported successful LC championship meets. There was good coverage and consistency. Clinics have begun and are listed on the website.
