Short course senior championship meet planning is complete

Senior Championship (LC) Time Standards will be finalized at the next Senior Committee meeting in preparation for the February Program Development meeting.

Zone team planning for short course is moving forward. 14/U final applications will be due at Age Group Championships. 15/O may put in a final application at Senior Championships. Athletes in top 2 positions at the end of Age Group Championships will not be entitled to a refund of fees.

Regional Championships short course distance freestyle events were referred to Technical Planning for a recommendation.

Sub-Committee formed to research and propose a meet schedule that meets the needs of age group athletes and provides diverse quality programming.

Camps- first camp held in November. Three more are scheduled and one will be held in conjunction with the Open Water Championships.

Long Course Regional Championship configuration- committee saw no need for changes to the configuration used for 2005 LC championships

Long Course Regional Championship meet configuration: Motion made and seconded to adopt Age Group Committee decision of holding two 12/U Regional Championship meet sites, divided by club and one 13/O Regional Championship meet site divided by age group. Hand vote showed 4 votes in favor and 1 opposed. Motion adopted.

LC Age Group Championship scoring: No motion made. Age Group Committee was asked to look into Age Group scoring/software/timing system compatibility and present a proposal to the February Program Development meeting.
