ASSISTANT COACH WANTED

The Cheshire Y/Sea Dog Swim Club is currently soliciting candidates for the position of Assistant Coach to work with our rapidly expanding Pre-Competitive and Developmental programs.  Our current Coach is moving following the Long Course season and we are looking for an energetic and outgoing coach who is looking to work in a fun and fast paced environment.  The Assistant Coach, working under the direction of the Head Age Group Coach, will have coaching hours Monday—Friday with deck time ranging from 1 hour to 2 hours 15 minutes.  The Assistant Coach will also coach weekend meet sessions two or three weekends per month.  The successful candidate will have previous coaching/swimming experience either as a coach or lessons instructor.  The Cheshire Y/Sea Dog Swim Club practices at the Cheshire Community Pool, a 50 Meter by 25 Yard bubbled facility which is an outdoor pool from May to September.  We are looking for a Coach to help us continue our growth and improvement.  

Candidates must have or be able to obtain: CPR, First Aid and USA Swimming Coaching Certifications.  Previous coaching experience and computer skills are preferred.  Wages are hourly and benefits include membership to our newly expanded YMCA.  Education, certification, and travel expenses provided. 

The position begins immediately and will remain open until the appropriate candidate is found.  The ideal situation is to have the incumbent start in April and work with our outgoing Coach during the Long Course season to help provide for a more seamless transition.
