ASSISTANT COACHES NEEDED

The Fairfield YMCA FlyFins Swim Team is currently accepting applications for several part time Assistant Coaching positions for our rapidly expanding swim team program.  The Fairfield FlyFins is a team of 75 to 95 children ranging in age from 6 to 17 years old.  We are looking for an energetic and outgoing coach who will be committed not only to the success of the team as a whole, but also the personal goals of each of our swimmers.  Assistant Coaches will work under the direction of the Head Coach for evening practices during the week, morning practice on Saturdays, and approximately 2 to 3 weekend meets per month, totaling approximately 20 hours per week.  Applicants should have previous coaching/swimming experience either as a coach or lessons instructor. 

Candidates must have or be able to obtain: CPR, First Aid and USA Swimming Coaching Certifications.  Previous coaching experience and computer skills are preferred.  Wages are hourly and benefits include membership to our YMCA.

The position begins in early September but will remain open until the appropriate candidates are found.
