Assistant Men’s and Women’s Swimming Coach Intern

The University of Connecticut is seeking qualified candidates for the full-time paid intern position in Men’s and Women’s Swimming program. Responsibilities will include: on-deck coaching; assisting with recruiting; home and away meet management, assisting with pool operation and all facets of managing a competitive Division I program.
Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree; previous experience as a swimmer or coach at the elite level of college swimming; knowledge of NCAA rules and regulations; USS Coaching, Lifeguard, CPR and First Aid instructor certifications needed at the time of, or shortly after employment.
Preferred Qualifications: Master’s degree

Responsibilities will include: emphasis on recruiting academically and athletically competitive athletes for a Division I program, on-deck coaching; home and away meet management, assisting with pool operation and all facets of managing a competitive Division I program.
Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree; previous experience as a swimmer or coach at the elite level of college swimming; prior experience recruiting Division I student-athletes; knowledge of NCAA rules and regulations; USS Coaching, Lifeguard, CPR and First Aid instructor certifications or ability to be certified.
Preferred Qualifications: Master’s degree.
