POOL EMERGENCY NUMBER: No incoming phone service. Phone is available to dial out.
MEET CLASSIFICATION: This meet is open to all USA Swimming athletes and clubs.
MEET FORMAT: The meet will be swum as timed-finals.
SCRATCH PROCEDURES:
Coaches will receive a list of their swimmers and the events in which they are
entered at each session. All scratches for that session will be due at the main
desk 20 minutes before the start of the session. Swimmers who fail to appear for
the start of their race shall be disqualified from that race.
FACILITY: 6 lane, 25-yard pool. 4.5 feet to
12 feet deep. Starting blocks located in the deep end. Colorado Timing System.
Stands and pool deck are handicap accessible through main entrance to school,
but the pool locker rooms are entered only via stairways. Alternative changing
space can be made available. Please notify the meet director if this is
required. There is no incoming phone service.

EVENTS: See attached list.
SESSION TIMES: AM warm-up will begin no earlier than 8:30. AM Events will begin no sooner than 8:35
PM warm-up will begin no earlier than 12:30. PM Events will begin no earlier than 1:15.
WARM-UPS: CT Swimming Warm-Up Procedures will be in effect. Assignments will be made by team rather than gender. SR swimmers will have a minimum of 30 minutes general warm-up. 12 & unders will have a minimum of 20 minutes warm-up. Teams will be notified of the final warm-up schedule by Monday, October 20th.
MORNING (12 & under Events)
General Warm-up: No earlier than 8:00 for a minimum of 20 minutes per
team
Sprints & Pace: No earlier than 8:20 for a minimum of 10 minutes
Session Start: No earlier than 8:35
AFTERNOON (Senior events)
General Warm-up: No earlier than 12:00 for a minimum of 30 minutes
per team

ELIGIBILITY: All athletes must be current athlete members of USA Swimming. Age on the first day of the meet shall determine the swimmer’s age and age group for the meet. Any swimmer who is entered and is unregistered, will be scratched from the meet until registration is completed. All coaches must present a valid USA Swimming coach card to the Meet Director prior to the commencement of any sanctioned swim meet, and must have this card with them while on deck.
ADAPTED SWIMMING: Any current athlete members of USA Swimming with a disability as defined by USA Swimming Rules and Regulations may enter this meet. If modifications to USA Swimming rules are necessary then the coach or athlete must notify the meet referee of any disability prior to competition.
EVENT INFORMATION: 13/14 and Senior events will be combined for seeding and competition but results will be determined and awards presented for the distinct age groups.
ENTRY LIMITATIONS: Swimmers may enter and compete in four individual events per day.
ENTRY TIMES: Submit entry times in SCY. No Times are discouraged.

All entries must be typed or printed legibly, and must use full names and registration numbers from USA Swimming registration. Entry date will be based on receipt of electronic file, or, if no file is sent on receipt of paper entry.
CONNECTICUT-ONLY DEADLINE for QUALIFIERS: CT deadline is October 16, 2008. All entries received by Connecticut teams by that date will be given priority over out of district teams and swimmers. Entry date will be based on receipt of electronic file, or, if no file is sent on receipt of paper entry.
ELECTRONIC ENTRIES: Electronic entries (such as from Hy-Tek Team Manager or other team management software) that are in CL2 or SD3/SDIF format may be emailed as an attachment to the entry chair at george.miles@yale.edu. Please check that your team name, address, and contact information are listed correctly in this file. Mail papercopy and check, payable to Branford Stingrays to entry chair.
ENTRY FEES: Electronic entries: $4.00 for individual events, $4.00 for distance event, $6.00 for relays. Manual entries: $10.00 for individual events, $10.00 for distance events, $15.00 for relays.

CUT PROTOCOL for QUALIFIERS: Sessions will be limited to four hours of competition. If a session is over-subscribed, BRS reserves the right to split 12 & under sessions into 10 & under and 11-12 events OR to cut swimmers based on CT Swimming protocols for Age Qualifiers: First 7/Us, followed by relays, and then all fourth events will be cut. If the time line estimate still exceeds four hours teams will be cut based on date of receipt.
Please note: Teams entering swimmers in four events must notify the entry chair of the fourth choice events or their swimmers will be cut from their longest event! If the meet is under-subscribed, BRS reserves the right to combine the 12 & under and 13 & over events in a single session. Teams will be notified of any cuts or reorganization of the meet by Monday, October 20th
If a session is over-subscribed Clubs will be notified of cuts no later than Monday, October 20th.RESERVE THE RIGHT TO MAKE CHANGES: The meet referee reserves the right to make any adjustments to the provisions of the meet announcement deemed necessary to ensure the fair and efficient running of the meet, with prior approval from Program Operations. Clubs will be notified of cuts no later than Monday October 20th.
RELAYS: All relay swimmers must be officially entered in the meet.
SAFETY:
- Diving will be prohibited during warm-ups except in specifically announced one-way sprint lanes. There will be no diving in the warm-up and warm-down areas at any time
- No shaving is permitted at the competition site.
- No glass containers are permitted within the facility.
- Swimmers must be under the supervision of a coach. If a swimmer arrives at the meet without a coach, the swimmer should notify the referee before he/she warms up. The referee will assign the swimmer to a registered coach for warm-ups.
- No electronic devices with cameras are permitted in the locker rooms.
RULES: Current USA Swimming rules will govern all competition.
TIME TRIALS: There will be no time trials at this meet.
TIMERS, OFFICIALS OR WORK ASSIGNMENTS: Participating teams will be expected to provide timers in proportion to the size of their entry. Swimmers must provide their own counters for the 500 Free.
DECK ACCESS: Only athletes, coaches, officials, and official meet staff actively participating in the meet are permitted on the pool deck.
SCORING: The meet will not be scored.
AWARDS: Ribbons will be awarded to the top 6 finishers in each individual event, and top 3 finishers in each relay event.
CONCESSIONS: Food and beverage will be available..
HOSPITALITY FOR COACHES AND OFFICIALS: Lunch will be provided for coaches and officials.
PARKING: Use the circular drive in front of the school to drive to the large parking lot on the east side of the building. Do not park in the driveway; you will be ticketed and towed. Please do not park in the small lot at the west end of the building.
DIRECTIONS:
From the west: I-95 to Exit 55 (Route 1, Branford). Turn left onto Route 1 West. Proceed to second light and turn left onto Windmill Hill Road. At stop sign turn left onto Damascus Road. Entrance to school is on your right at the bottom of the hill.
From the east: I-95 to Exit 55 (Route 1, Branford). Turn right onto Route 1 West. Proceed to third light and turn left onto Windmill Hill Road. At stop sign turn left onto Damascus Road. Entrance to school is on your right at the bottom of the hill.
From the north: Take Route 80 to Route 139 in North Branford. Take Route 139 south to Route 1. Turn right onto Route 1 West. Proceed to fourth traffic light and turn left onto Windmill Hill Road. At stop sign turn left onto Damascus Road. Entrance to school is on your right at the bottom of the hill.
DO NOT PARK IN CIRCULAR DRIVE. YOU WILL BE TICKETED AND TOWED.
