MEET CLASSIFICATION: This meet is open to CT member athletes and coaches of USA Swimming.

MEET FORMAT: Timed-Finals

FACILITY: The North Haven Pool is an 8 Lane, 25-Yard Pool located at the Parks and Recreation building on Elm Street in North Haven. Colorado Timing System, Ample Parking and adequate room for spectators

DISABLED ACCESS: Fully Handicapped accessible

Session 1 10U and 11/12, 7:30 Warm up and 8:30 Start
Session 2 13/14 and Seniors, 12:30 Warm up and 1:15 Start

WARM-UPS: CT Swimming Warm-Up Procedures will be in effect. .

ELIGIBILITY: All athletes must be current athlete members of CT Swimming. Age on the first day of the meet shall determine the swimmer’s age and age group for the meet. Any swimmer who is entered and is unregistered, will be scratched from the meet until registration is completed. All coaches must present a valid USA Swimming coach card to the Meet Director prior to the commencement of any sanctioned swim meet, and must have this card with them while on deck.

ADAPTED SWIMMING: Any current athlete members of CT Swimming with a disability as defined by USA Swimming Rules and Regulations may enter this meet. If modifications to USA Swimming rules are necessary then the coach or athlete must notify the meet referee of any disability prior to competition.

ENTRY LIMITATIONS: Maximum of 4 events per day/ 8 per meet

ENTRY TIMES: Submit entry times in: SCY. No Times are discouraged.

DEADLINES: Entry deadline is Monday, November 3^rd, 2008. Mail hard copy and payment to: Rob Dietter, 151 Mill Road, North Haven, CT 06473. All entries must be typed or printed legibly, and must use full names and registration numbers from USA Swimming registration. The email date will determine the date an entry is received.

CONNECTICUT-ONLY DEADLINE: Monday, November 3^rd, 2008. CT clubs will be entered first.

ELECTRONIC ENTRIES: Electronic entries (such as from Hy-Tek Team Manager or other team management software) that are in CL2 or SD3/SDIF format may be emailed as an attachment to Rob Dietter at Pondsct@aol.com. Please check that your team name, address, and contact information are listed correctly in this file. Payment is expected with Hard Copy. An entry is considered "in" and accepted when we confirm the entry via email and payment is received.

ENTRY FEES: Electronic entries: $4.25 for individual events, $9.00 for relays. Manual entries: $5.25 for individual events, $10.00 for relays. No refunds will be given for entries that are accepted, or for entries that are rejected due to improper entry

PAYMENT INSTRUCTIONS: Please make checks payable to HNHS and mail to: Rob Dietter, 151 Mill Road, North Haven, CT 06473. Payment must be received by 11/10/08.

CUT PROTOCOL for QUALIFIERS: If a session is over-subscribed first 7/Us, followed by relays, and then all fourth events will be cut. If the time line estimate still exceeds four hours teams will be cut based on date of receipt. Clubs will be notified of cuts no later than Monday before the meet.

RESERVE THE RIGHT TO MAKE CHANGES: The meet referee reserves the right to make any adjustments to the provisions of the meet announcement deemed necessary to ensure the fair and efficient running of the meet, with prior approval from Program Operations. Clubs will be notified of cuts no later than Monday before the meet.

RELAYS: No Relay Limitations. All relay swimmers must be officially entered in the meet.

1. Diving will be prohibited during warm-ups except in specifically announced one-way sprint lanes. There will be no diving in the warm-up and warm-down areas at any time
2. No shaving is permitted at the competition site.
3. No glass containers are permitted within the facility.
4. Swimmers must be under the supervision of a coach. If a swimmer arrives at the meet without a coach, the swimmer should notify the referee before he/she warms up. The referee will assign the swimmer to a registered coach for warm-ups.
5. No electronic devices with cameras are permitted in the locker rooms.

RULES: Current USA Swimming rules will govern all competition.

TIME TRIALS: Time trials will be offered at the discretion of the meet referee if time allows. Time trials are $5.00 for individual events and $10.00 for relays.

TIMERS, OFFICIALS OR WORK ASSIGNMENTS: Teams will be notified for timing assignments.

DECK ACCESS: Only athletes, coaches, officials, and official meet staff actively participating in the meet are permitted on the pool deck.

SCORING: The meet will not be scored.

AWARDS: Ribbons will be awarded to the top 6 finishers in each individual event, and top 3 finishers in each relay event.

PARKING: Ample Parking is available in the Elm Street Parking Lot.

DIRECTIONS: From I-91 (North): Take exit 12. At the end of the ramp turn left at the light on to Washington Avenue (Route 5). Follow Washington Avenue through several stoplights to the intersection of Broadway. (you’ll see the North Haven Town Green ahead on the left, shopping center on your right). Take a right on Broadway and at your first light take a left on Elm Street. The Recreation Center is after the library on the left. The entrance to the parking lot is after the pool.

From I-91 (South): Take exit 11 at the top of the ramp take a right. Stay in the right hand lane and take a right at the light on to Washington Avenue (Route 5). Follow this to the next light which is the intersection of Broadway (you’ll see the North Haven Town Green ahead on the left, shopping center on your right). Take a right on Broadway and at your first light take a left on Elm Street. The Recreation Center is after the library on the left. The entrance to the parking lot is after the pool.

From Rte. 15 Southbound (Wilbur Cross Parkway): Take exit 63. At the end of the ramp, go left on to Hartford Turnpike. At the first light go left on Route 22. At the second light, go right on State Street. Prodeed to the stop sign and take a left on to Broadway. At the first light take a right on Elm Street. The Recreation Center is after the library on the left. The entrance to the parking lot is after the pool.

From Rte. 15 Northbound (Wilbur Cross Parkway): Take exit 63. At the end of the ramp go right on to Route 22. At the first light, go right on to State Street. Proceed to the stop sign and take a left on to Broadway. At the first light take a right on to Elm Street. The Recreation Center is after the library on the left.
