Mastering Middle Distance Tactics for Training and Racing with Kieran Smith

Kieran Smith, a leading American swimmer from RAC, has built a remarkable career, defined by his Olympic success and world record-breaking performances. At the Tokyo 2020 Games, held in 2021, he earned a bronze medal in the 400-meter freestyle, followed by a silver as part of the men’s 4×200-meter freestyle relay at the Paris 2024 Games. These achievements showcase his ability to excel on swimming’s grandest stage.

Beyond his Olympic medals, Smith has been instrumental in setting new world records. At the 2024 Short Course World Championships in Budapest, he contributed to the U.S. team’s historic feats, helping break world records in both the 4×100-meter and 4×200-meter freestyle relays.
